🔥 SAIC FIRE SALE FAQs 🔥

*DO NOT GO TO MEDIA CENTER EMPLOYEES WITH FIRE SALE QUESTIONS OR PROBLEMS*

If you have any questions, contact [email protected].

What is the SAIC Fire Sale?

  • The Fire Sale is one of the ways that we liquidate old media equipment from the school's media centers and other facilities. All of the gear listed is in used condition, and may be engraved.

How do I shop the online Fire Sale?

  • After browsing available merchandise, feel free to add an item to your cart and complete the online "check-out" process. You will notice that there is nowhere to enter payment information -- payment must be completed in person, at Maclean's Material Source location, Room 806. For now, Fire Sale items will only be available for pickup on Fridays, from 9am to 5:30pm, with a break for lunch from 11:45am to 12:15pm.

How can I pay?

  • Fire Sale purchases must be made with ARTICard ONLY.

Is there tax?

  • Sales tax is included in the item's list price.

Is there an order limit?

  • YES. For now, you will only be allowed to purchase one item at a time. Orders with more than one item are subject to cancellation.

What if I don't pick up my order?

  • We know that things happen, and you may not be able to pick up your reserved item right away. You will have another week to pick up your reservation, but after that time, your order is subject to cancellation.

The item I wanted is gone! Will there be more?

  • We are staggering the release of merchandise in order to maximize availability. Check back soon, as we may have new items in stock! However, due to the unique nature of our supply, we cannot guarantee restocks of any type of item.

What if the equipment I purchased is missing something?

  • All of the equipment is sold as is. Any accessories such as batteries, cables, or memory cards will be treated as free extras. If a vital part of the actual equipment is missing, it will be reflected in the price and noted in the condition (ie. lens missing from camera).

The equipment I purchased was broken when I got home, can I return it?

  • All sales are final. The equipment has been tested, as noted in the item's description. However, as it is mostly old and heavily used, anything can happen. Returns are not permitted.
  • Do not go to the Media Center or Material Source with any issues. They do not run the sale.
